Bismillah,
If I met ‘Isa Ibnu Maryam (alayhis sallam) what would I say? What would he think after coming back thousands of years later? Would he be amazed that the world has changed so drastically technology and science wise?

Imagine you are in the company of ‘Isa ibnu Maryam. It’s like he is your closest companion, what would you show him if you were his guide? What would you ask him?
I’d ask him about Jannah and to describe its beauty. I’d ask him about the conversation of the angels and about the Prophet, salallahu alayhi wa sallam.
I’d show him the planets through a telescope and tell him that the planets make me know the greatness of Allah, and how it’s the closest thing I have to seeing the heavens.
I’d want to hide the shameful things our society has transformed into. And ask him what I should do in order to, inshaAllah, be with his mother in Jannah, Alayhas-sallam.
I’d want to pray behind him and be amazed that even he, alayhis sallam, is a follower of Muhammad, salallahu alayhi wa sallam.
I’d ask him about those who wanted to kill him and about those who were his companions on this earth.
As I sat there thinking about what it would be like to meet Isa ‘alayhis salam, the verses from surat al Ma’eda were being recited to me. And then I realized whether I’m still alive when Allah ‘az wa jal sends him back down before the Day of Judgment or not, Allah ‘az wa jal has already given me everything I need to know.
Most of the questions I would ask him, the answers were being recited to me the whole time. The description of Jannah, the story of those who wanted to kill him and about the hawariyoon. The supplications of the angles. Allah ‘az wa jal was describing what a believer needed to do to attain His mercy and ultimately His jannah.
After seeing Jannah, it would be hard for me to believe that ‘Isa Alayhis sallam would be impressed by our society. Wallahu alem. So now I will not say “If I met ‘Isa ibnu Maryam…” I instead want to say “InshaAllah WHEN I meet ‘Isa ibnu Maryam…” for I ask Allah ‘az wa jal, to let us be with the prophets in jannah, bi’ithnillahi ta’ala.
The Quran is so amazing, Subhanallah. Ponder deeply. And put yourself in its verses.
The last 10 nights of Ramadan are here, subhanallah. If you wasted 2/3rds of Ramadan, it’s not too late to make the best out of the blessed month.
What would you ask ‘Isa Alayhis-salam?
Wallahu ta’ala alem.
Read. Ponder. Implement.

Whenever the topic of Prophet Isa’s second return is mentioned, I often think of how people will treat the Prophet pbuh.
Will Muslim women flock after him for marriage? What kind of woman will he choose for himself as a wife?
Or if he has a family, would he sala Allahu alayhee wa salam, reject me as a suitor for his daughter?
Do we have what it takes to live amongst the Prophet?

Subhanallah! What a great thing to think about. I love this topic. Why? Because no one knows whether we are going to see Isa Alayhis sallam in our lifetime or not. And if not us, what about our kids?
Isa Alayhis sallam is not only a Prophet of Allah but a sahabi as well!
That thought makes women think to themselves the state they are in. Wallahu Alem if he will take a wife when he comes back or not, or perhaps even more than one wife, but it kind of makes you think who could be the companion of the Prophet alayhis sallam in this world, and inshaallah in Jannah!
What an amazing thought! When we raise our children we should raise them to those standards, we should raise our girls to want to be like the wives of the Prophet sallahu alayhi wa sallam because those were the women of jannah.
We should raise our sons to train to be the companions of Isa Alayhis sallam when he comes back, and that when he appears to rush to where he is.
Better yet, we should be training ourselves to be like that before we teach our children that. wallahu alem.
Amazing thought provoking discussion.
Barak Allahu feekom.

I dunno… i see the arrival of Esa (’alayhi as-salaam) as something to be both eager about, and yet also be fearful of. No doubt it will distinguish truth from falsehood, but it will also make clear as to which party each of us (ourselves, family, friends) are on. Seeing as his (’alayhi as-salaam) coming will be during a most trying and worst of times… who knows which of us will be guided. The latter I find frightening, while the establishment of Islam is something to definitely want to be alive to witness and live in.
It reminds me of something remarkable said by a sahabi, Al-Miqdaad ibn ‘Amr (radhiAllahu anhu). While sitting in a gathering, someone said how lucky he (Al-Miqdaad) and the sahaba were to have been in the presence of the Prophet (salAllahu ‘alayhi wasallam) and that he wished he had been alive in such a time, to experience it himself. Al-Miqdaad rebuked the man… saying how could he wish for something of which he had no knowledge: of which party would he have been of, when Rasulullah saw ppl close to him thrown into the hellfire and lost to kufr? He went on to say he could have been saved (embrace Islam) or been a foe of the Prophet (salAllahu ‘alayhi wasallam)… and what if he was of the latter? subhanAllah.
Do not mean to be pessimistic… but this is what always goes through my mind with this topic… may Allah preserve us.

subhanAllah. I think the fact that being able to even be in the company of a companion, let alone a Prophet is well, amazing and exciting. Overwhelming too.
I would also like to ask about his mother alayha salaam, and I would like to hear him recite the Qur’an inshaAllah…imagine subhanAllah!
It is also scary at the same time because it’s closer to the day of Judgment. And I’m thinking about the fitnah of the Dajjal too, may Allah protect us from it, Ameen.
Ahmad (9349) narrated from Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “I am the closest of people to ‘Eesa ibn Maryam because there was no Prophet between him and me…” Then he mentioned his descent at the end of time. Then he said: “And he will remain for as long as Allaah wills he should remain, then he will die and the Muslims will offer the funeral prayer for him and bury him.” Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in al-Silsilah al-Saheehah (2182).

@ Bineabble.
I think about that too, subhan’Allah.
Just imagining is a dream within itself.
Reading this and such stories makes you want to prep in yourself and Ibaadah big time.
I would love to meet the prophet, one day insha’Allah. Subhan’Allah, just thinking about it takes you to another level.
Jazakillahu khayrun for the post Shirien.

I would ask him about his time and trials and the lessons he alayhi salaam learnt.
I’d like to know about his mother too, his Qur’aan…
That would be something else.
I’d ask him about himself, and what he thinks about our state and what do we have to do in order to change our state now.
I’d ask him can I be his companion, actually as a sister I’d have to offer my brother instead… Not that he’d mind.

subhanAllah, imagine some men during this late part of the ummah will be tabi’een!!

Imagine your son bieng that tabi’een!!!
Now that would be cool…
Subhan’Allah.

“subhanAllah, imagine some men during this late part of the ummah will be tabi’een!!”
mmmmm…. I’m not quite sure that’s the correct term to use. As I think the term tabieen refers to the generation after the sahabah of Rasool Allah salallahu alayhi wa sallam.
Wallahu alem, someone correct me if I’m wrong, but I dont think that’s necessarily the correct terminology.
Also, Since ‘Isa Alayhis salam is coming inshaallah right before the day of judgment, there wont be too many generations after that time left. since the day of judgment will occur soon after his appearance. wallahu alem.
I think the thought that it’s an exciting thought but also scary is very true. I think everyone here would agree that we dont want to witness the coming of ad-dajjal. But then again, we want to be amongst those who follow Al-Mahdi and are around both him and Isa alayhis sallam.

You know, I remember this one lecture I had listened to maybe a year ago in arabic, I think it was by Sheikh Muhammad Hassan. (but im not 100% positive it was him). Anyway, the sheikh was describing a conversation between Isa alayhissallam and Yahya Alayhis sallam.
And Isa told Yahya that he had a higher status than he did because in the Quran Allah ‘az wa jal tells him: “Peace be on him the day he was born, the day he dies, and the day he will be raised up to life (again)!”
While Isa alayhis-sallam says:
“And Salam (peace) be upon me the day I was born, and the day I die, and the day I shall be raised alive!”
So the first was said by Allah ‘az wa jal to Yahya alayhis-sallam, while the second Isa alayhis-salam declared upon himself, by the will of Allah.
I dont know how authentic that story is, but subhanallah it’s an amazing thought. Especially because I was reminded of it in tarweeh today when the imam recited surat Maryam.
Wallahu Alem

Assalamou alaikum wa rahmatullah,
Subhanallah, this was such a good post Shirien. I think you connected with a lot of people’s hearts with it.
With regards to the arrival of Isa alaihis salaam, I would be happy for a moment - but then I would actually be quite concerned. Knowing that the Day of Noise and Clamour is a hair strand’s width away is not nerve settling.
PS: The one who recites Surah Kahf on a Friday will be protected from the Dajjal when he comes.

Assalaamu alaikum wr wb,
Such a great post mashAllah. So many times, I have tried to imagine the moment prophet ‘Isa (as) descends on the outskirts of Damascus, held by two angels, and wearing two yellowish pieces of cloth. I imagine him starting his journey to Bait al maqdis, where the Mahdi would be already waiting for him. I imagine him entering the masjid at fajr time, and praying behind the Mahid. But above all, I imagined him gathering his armies, to fight falsehood and lies once and for all, breaking the cross, killing the swine and abolishing jizya.
No doubt that it will be a decisive moment in the history of mankind, and if all of us, or someone amongst us are still alive at that particular moment, we must back him and never forsake him. For if we do, we’d be amongst the people of hellfire, may Allah protect us.
Jazaakum Allahu khayran for this post,
wassalamu alaikum
