i think people take online-interaction/exchanges/presence way too seriously sometimes. it’s unfortunate, because things don’t always register online the way one might have intended for them to had it been in person. allahu’alam. sooo many factors are displaced from the picture that one really has to remember to extend the “give the benefit of the doubt” or at least allow the situation to be clarified completely before jumping to conclusions.

the whole one-dimensional brush of a personality is especially evident in how seriously we take bloggers at their words. meaning: what a blogger writes is declared as written in stone, when, in reality, it’s just a thought or statement for the time being. people change! ideas develop! it’s not the author’s complete treatise on the topic, for goodness sake lol, but all a work in progress

i guess because the written word is something visible and in front of us at all times, it’s easy to see it as a permanent part of the writer’s persona, or that they are somehow associated with that only. hope that made sense… allahu’alam.
