So yeah I just registered my new site. It’ll take me a while to redesign and change the header and some aspects of the template but I figured It’s best that I keep it up and running for now.
I’m becoming more interested in learning about NLP or Neuro-linguistic programming. Since my field and specialty is public relations, the art of persuasion is something that I continue to study and try to master in both my writing and speaking for dawah purposes. So by all means if any of you know any good books and videos on NLP, let me know.
Anyway, everyone knows Fox News brainwashes people. But the question is have you ever really analyzed HOW they do the brainwashing? In this video a guy knowledgable about NLP stops a short segment shown on Fox News and describes each time NLP is being used to brainwash not only the audience, but the person being interviewed. Keep in mind that this is only a short segment, and that Fox News is played 24 hours a day. Here are the three videos: (this’ll make you mad)
I don’t know about the whole 666 thing, with the mathematical equation and everything. But it’s still interesting nonetheless. WAllahu Alem, it could really be something used with sorcery.

If you wanna go into Media, you absolutely have got to learn the Psychology of Communication. (which is what I like to call NLP, because I think its more than just speaking).
I’ve been reading up on this stuff for a while and its very interesting.
As Muslims, we should recognize it and learn it as well.

It goes into language patterns, also the guy in the video used a lot of “anchoring” techniques (like touching), and a whole bunch more techniques which the video doesn’t explain.
Muhammad AlShareef know alot about this stuff, he uses it all the time in his speeches.

Thats crazy…he completely discredited the professor when all he was saying was based on evidence…all Shawn Hanitty was doing was calling him extremist because he didn’t agree with his own personal views…, which, to me, is extremism.
Fox disgusts me…the guy was right though…theres too much NLP going on during FOX broadcasting to really be able to have it all explained to us…we have to open our eyes wider when were watching them.
Thats why we need more Muslims as communication majors, writers, journalist, video producers…etc…not to manipulate people, but just expose them to the truth. The peoples brains are controlled by the media…we have to set them free!

Br. Safi, thanks for the videos. I actually was looking into eye language yesterday which was really cool. depending on which way the eye looks you can tell if someone is lying or not. so that anchoring video is definitely something i’m really interested in.
Yeah, I heard Sheikh Muhammad uses NLP, which is really cool and I think if mastered could be awesome for dawah. I’m kind of concerned with the fact that it’s linked to hypnosis and stuff.. but yeah if you know any good books I can buy let me know.
Br. Ahmed, I’m sure that after watching those videos Fox is even more disgusting than before! subhanallah. I’d love to learn the techniques and then do workshops or seminars to teach it to muslims so that when we’re interviewed we can beat them at their game.
It’s funny, I watched FOX news for the first time in YEARS yesterday for like 10 min to see if I could catch anything, it was LOADED with brainwashing techniques. Subhanallah if you really think about it the majority of people in the world wont EVER notice any of this stuff, and that’s why it’s soo powerful.
This gives me a great idea for new projects. I’d love to hear you guy’s thoughts. pass it on to your email lists inshaAllah. it’ll help me develop my ideas further.

I actually knew a lil about NLP before I learned about Sh. Alshareef and still have some research sitting around that I have to finish up. And yeah, my dream was to use it for dawah and Insha Allah that will happen!

Some of the stuff is questionable like he referenced David Icke (a real nut who thinks there are lizard people)…that’s a little dangerous–you can visit has http://www.hashemsfilms.com/ to see how this has affects some Muslims unfortunately.
But other than that–some of this just seems to be normal body language people pick up from others. Other Islamophobes use the same stuff and I’m wondering if it is just regular body language for these situations–just watch 2 Muslims in an argument and it will be somewhat similar. I actually do some of the stuff these creeps are doing so… :S

Br. Dawud, I understand what you’re saying and yes some of those hand movements seem to be second nature, but to be honest, I think they know exactly what they are doing. and even if it wasnt about the hand movements, it’s the words they say and how they say it, the timing, and them wanting to take control of the interview. it’s called, “Leading the Question.”
Br. Ahmed, a lot of what that guy said in the first link really subhanallah sums up what I’m learning in my minorities in media class. When he was like “When black people raise issues they’re angry and they’re mad, when white people raise issues they are raising questions”
It’s so true.
I think the reporter was probably a rookie, haha he really didnt take control over the interview at all, and in fact he completely let the guy say whatever he wanted without cutting him off. My bet is this guy is either still in training by Fox or he just got fired.

These videos are all utterly silly. If you think idiots like Hannity and Colmes are smart enough to control our minds with hand gestures and subtle verbal manipulations, you’re dumber than they are.
The masses may be gullible, but so is anyone who is this eager to hang onto every word of leftist conspiracy theorists.
The truth is that any verbal interaction between two humans could be described as “subtle” and “manipulative” if you over-analyze it as ridiculously as this. Certainly Fox News has an agenda, but you’re giving them far, far too much credit.

Hey guy, I am totally with you on all points, EXCEPT your take on Steven Colbert. It is a parody/comedy show made to mirror the ridiculousness of Bill O’Reilly. So, as you are very wise on the part of how this is done, maybe you should use a little more common sense when referring to someone who is doing something for humor. IT”S ON COMEDY CENTRAL for pete’s sake. Good job though on breakin it down for us.

You seriously think that in such a controlled state that they would put idiots on as anchors? They depend upon half-witted, pseudointellectuals like YOU. They are smart enough to FOOL you into thinking they are dumb. Do you seriously think it is an accident that George Bush mispronounces words like “nuclear” and “subliminal”? They are EXPERTS at “appearing” stupid, down to the last nonverbal gesture. They are OVER YOUR HEAD. So much so, that you believe you are over theirs. Hannity is WAY over your head, idiot. But, you aren’t at the intuitive level of consciousness to unveil that.
If you can’t just look into the eyes of “Colbert” and see that…you are SERIOUSLY dumbed down.
